Podcast Series from 2018 now going live

Hi everyone.

It's almost a distant memory, but for those who like their reminders to be of the audio variety. Here's my series from 2018 being released over the next few weeks.

I'll update it here as each one goes live.

Podcast No 469 the first from the TGO Challenge 2018 series is now live. Andy starts from Strathcarron and me from Sheil Bridge on a blustery day. People come from all over the world to take part and there no one more adventurous than William Burton from Barbados. Plus there's chats with Marc, Gaetan and Guy from Belgium and Vitalis Hershmann from Switzerland.

No 470 - The TGO Challenge 2018 - Pt2

Podcast No 470 - Part 2 from the TGO Challenge 2018 is now live. This includes various topics. Massive disappointment, naked podcasting and complete boredom. Includes a chat with first time challenger Tim Medforth as we head towards that den of iniquity known as Coogie Lodge. Andy's Challenge comes to an abrupt end and I end up naked in the wilds. That's the Challenge for you! https://buff.ly/2uB3bV7

No 471 - The TGO Challenge 2018 - Pt3

Now live day 3 and day 4. Meeting up with Lee and Tony to form BLT and chatting along the way into Fort Augustus.

No 472 - The TGO Challenge 2018 - Pt4

After a good night in St Augustus, a reasonable breakfast in Morags Lodge we were set for the long trek up Glen Doe. There is a new path now heading out of Fort Augustus which leads walkers off the dangerous hairpin road along the much software aspects at the edge of Loch Ness before crossing the road and zig-zagging its way to link up with the construction path.

This was probably the most depressing day I've ever had on the Challenge in the 10 crossings ...

No 473 - The TGO Challenge 2018 - Pt5

Although we all had a good social night in Aviemore the lingering tiredness from the previous long days had taken their toll and so when Tony suggested we change our route from Ben Macdui to the lower Lairig Ghru, none of us really protested.

So after a large breakfast at the Cairngorm Hotel we slowly made our way along the cycle path towards the Rothiemurchus Forest and the start of the climb.

No 474 - The TGO Challenge 2018 - Pt6

After a reasonable nights sleep in Braemar we had breakfast in the cafe, before meeting up with Lee and Tony and heading for Loch Callater Lodge.

A slow start to the day with strong blustery winds and dark clouds looking over us. But this was all soon forgotten with the warm welcome at the lodge, and the hot cup of tea which was eagerly thrust into our hands.

Tempting as it was to stay we continued along the length of Glen Callater along to Jocks Rd at the base of the climb, where the wind was certainly picking up and making us all think that going over the top would be plain hard work and not much pleasure, so we all agreed to pitch amongst the dips and embankments along the twisting stream, and hunker down out of the wind for the afternoon.

Features interview with Craig and Vicky Gulley from St Louis

No 475 - The TGO Challenge 2018 - Pt7

Part 7 the final episode from the 2018 TGO Challenge series now live.

Starting with the unique Tarfside dawn chorus and ending on interviews with Ken Shaw from Sweden and Nels Block from Denmark.

That's all folks.
