Definitely not likely to be on the Challenge again for a good long while

Greetings to all my Challenge friends!

Just thought I'd update you on the progress of my career change. My retirement from the legal profession began, officially, the day after I returned from the 2017 Challenge, and I began my PGCE at Warwick University in September 2017.

I have just received confirmation that I have passed all elements of the course, so I shall receive my recommendation for Qualified Teacher Status very shortly. I also have a teaching job to go to, starting in September 2018. So I doubt I shall be able to participate in another Challenge until my second retirement ... which will probably be in 15 years'time or so.

I shall try to keep a wistful eye on this board and keep in touch with my Challenge friends from time to time.

I really must get around to writing up my 2017 crossing on my blog. I'll let you know when I have done so.

We're all going to miss you Jeremy - you're a Challenge stalwart and we share some great memories.

My very best wishes, your new career is a challenging one - more power to your elbow for choosing it and running with it....but perhaps you should consider early retirement from teaching so you can Challenge again sooner rather than later?
