I'm not going to buy one (I don't need to, I've got an Akto) but I'm looking forward to having a look at your new tent - assuming you're bringing it on our next trip.

Nice photos BTW, I can almost imagine being there myself.....oh, justaminit....

"New tent" JJ. I bought a Saunders Dalomite 40 years ago that used two poles at the front, replaced with walking poles, and one at the rear. As the saying goes "what goes around comes around". The great advantage of this design is that it does not rely on bendy poles which often break at the ferrels and can destroy a tent. It's a great shame that Bob Saunders is no longer around as I'm sure he would have a good chuckle at the "new designs"!

Oh my goodness Grumpy - I had one of those too. And some class of a rucksack (remember that word?) with, uh sheepskin linings around the straps. The tent was a cracker, but got eaten by weasels I believe.

We are not old. We are Retro . . .
