Yes that is standard practise. Just mark the parcel 'You Name - Arriving Guest - Date' and they will no doubt get it out of the store room ready for you to arrive.

To maintain good relations with such a generous host country, I think it would be polite to ask before sending your parcel.

Re Parcel collection.
You can always send your parcel to the local Post Office marked Post Restante with your name and full address of the PO. I've done this at a few places including Ft Augustus.

Thanks for noting that. I just booked for the monday night as well. Starting from Mallaig via Barrisdale - Quoich - greenfield. Carnach Bridge being out caused the rerouting as I imagine it dod for some others. Perhaps see some others in the pub in Mallaig on the evening of the 10th.
