Just a thought as I was going through my kit on a lunch break...what size and type of containers are available in most common stops for Meths/Alcohol? I usually haul along my own container but if they are sold in handy plastic of appropriate size, I will just bring my 2 oz dispenser that rides in a pocket to keep it warm. Thanks!

Meths is normally sold in half litre plastic bottles. They tend to be pretty sturdy. Obviously not as sturdy as an aluminium fuel bottle but nevertheless if kept away from anything that could puncture it, well suitable for keeping in an external rucksack pocket.
