New Fetteresso windfarm application

....and there was me talking about it being possible to cross the Fetteresso while avoiding the Mid Hill windfarm.......https://scotlandagainstspin.org/2018/02/fetteresso-wind-farm-section-36-pre-application/

Case Type:
Scoping

Project Type:
Wind Farm (Generating station increase of >10 < 100 MW Capacity)

Project Name:
Fetteresso Wind Farm

Status:
Pre Application

ECU Reference:
ECU00000556

As this is going directly to the Energy Consents unit who are controlled and manipulated by Holyrood, it is almost guaranteed to be passed, regardless of any objections or the fact that the SNH have already published a report saying that the Mouth already has more turbines than can be accommodated without damaging the landscape character.

Presumably once this is passed it will be used to justify the proposed development across the road in Glen Dye as well.

Re: New Fetteresso windfarm application

Aberdeenshire and the surrounding area is becoming a joke with wind farms. Have you been up Bennachie recently? It becoming an eyesore with the amount of windmills. They should be offshore like the one at Peterhead.

Re: New Fetteresso windfarm application

There is a likelihood that the joker at Cornabo Monymusk is still trying to get his turbines built despite thousands of objections about the effect on Bennachie.

This is another example where the reporters at DPEA over-ruled a refusal by the local authority and even ignored objections from the MoD about effects on air defence radar.

Re: New Fetteresso windfarm application

The new Fetteresso wind power station turbines are *huge*

Ten of them TWO HUNDRED metres high. They are 5MW machines.

You'll see these boys from the west coast!
:disappointed:

Here's an indication of the scale . . .
