Re: wild camping in Cortachy area

Hi Frédéric,

On the website of The Great Outdoors Challenge you will find the chapter “Blogs and photos”. There you can find Alan Sloman’s report of his challenge of 2017.
On day 12 he actually camped at the Airlie Memorial Tower. Seems a very nice place to camp!
I did never camp there, but I remember very good views towards the surrounding hills. A pity I did not camp there myself!
Good luck,

Hein

Here's a link, Frederick:

LINK

You'll need to carry your water up there, as there's none locally, but thelink I've provided explains where water can be found.

It's a very fine spot supplied with a park bench for gentlemen of the road.

Somehow there ought to be damsel in the tower lowering her long locks to the ground and awaiting rescue. Mind you, sounds as if you two would have been too tired to save her
:grinning: :joy:
