Re: Carrying food in from the US?

Hi Holly, I’d be interested where you found that exemption as all the information I’ve seen suugests that importing meat and dairy products from outside the EU is banned (except from Greenland, Iceland and Faroes!). Here’s a slightly more detailed page from the Food Standards Agency

https://www.food.gov.uk/BUSINESS-INDUSTRY/IMPORTS/WANT_TO_IMPORT/PERSONALIMPORTS

Re: Carrying food in from the US?

It was apparently an old one.. im finding all kinds of stuff that doesnt make any sense though... yes but no, no but yes.... I have a friend that works TSA at our airport, so he is on a mission today to find out the exact TSA rules for us.... hold tight....

Re: Carrying food in from the US?

Even if someone can find the fine print saying its OK, I don't feel comfortable carrying much food on the plane. Not that I don't trust TSA and customs personnel.... but I don't. I'm going to have my favorite dehydrated meals shipped to me in the UK, and go shopping once there to fill in the gaps.

Re: Carrying food in from the US?

TSA says NOPE NOPE NOPE!!!!! and they are sorry... haha..
