It might be worth looking at the companies that offer discounts to Challengers which can be found on the websites special offer page here. They are all very helpful and understand the Event and we know in the past some of them they have send parcels directly to Challengers resupply points. You would need to check the places you are staying are happy to hold a parcel for you but most will. Alternatively if you know where you will be staying in the days before the Event and post them on yourself.
Hi Holly, I’d be interested where you found that exemption as all the information I’ve seen suugests that importing meat and dairy products from outside the EU is banned (except from Greenland, Iceland and Faroes!). Here’s a slightly more detailed page from the Food Standards Agency
It was apparently an old one.. im finding all kinds of stuff that doesnt make any sense though... yes but no, no but yes.... I have a friend that works TSA at our airport, so he is on a mission today to find out the exact TSA rules for us.... hold tight....
Even if someone can find the fine print saying its OK, I don't feel comfortable carrying much food on the plane. Not that I don't trust TSA and customs personnel.... but I don't. I'm going to have my favorite dehydrated meals shipped to me in the UK, and go shopping once there to fill in the gaps.
