Re: Sunart forest

Why not approach the hill from Polloch and Dahl? Take the boat from Delelia to Polloch.

Re: Sunart forest

That's a great idea Alan. Who do I need to contact about the boat across Loch Shiel?

Re: Sunart forest

Three of us are booking a boat on Friday 11th from Dalelia if you are interested.

Re: Sunart forest

Thanks for the offer, but I won't be there until Sunday as I'm starting at Kilchoan and walking round the Ardnamurchan peninsula first. Who are you booking with and how much does it cost?

Re: Sunart forest

Paul.
Lord Elpus, Mad'n'Bad & I are taking the ferry on Saturday, around lunchtime.
Liaise with Phil for a lift.
😀

Re: Sunart forest

Six years ago, the former owner of Achnanellan ferried me over from Dalelia. But his boat was short on petrol and so he dropped me at Achnanellan in stead of Polloch. He then showed me the paths through the forest to get to Polloch - passing your target Torran nam Mialwithin 200m.
I will email you a map of the route - if I had your email......

Cheers,

BART

Re: Sunart forest

Brilliant Bart, thanks for that. I want to walk that way as I want to take some pictures of Claish Moss, although from a distance. Walking over it would see me in very deep water! E-mail address is below.
