Access to Great Glen Way

Having descended from the Cam Bhealach through the forest to the logging road at NN251936, does anyone know if it is possible to get to the Great Glen Way just a few hundred metres away through the forest as I need to head SW. The logging road comes to a halt after about 1km. I know I can go N to Kilfinnan and join the GGW there but that is some detour.

There are firebreaks shown on the 1:25K map - are these accurate and would they provide access down to the GGW?

Any help welcome!

UPDATE - I think I have answered my own question! Google Earth shows that the forest thins to open ground a few Km to the SW so I should be OK to reach the GGW.
