Re: Strathcarron to Peterhead - photos

Hi Kirsten,

Thank you for posting your excellent pictures!
We had different routes after we parted at noon on the first day, but still I saw pictures of Well known placets, because I was there too on this Challenge! You will see me pictures later, as I am not yet ready making a nice album of them. Will take Some weeks more.
It was a surprise suddenly seeing that very nice picture of me!

Regards,
Hein

Re: Strathcarron to Peterhead - photos

Great pictures! (And you said you hadn't taken any good ones!)

Was that fox hurt?

Re: Strathcarron to Peterhead - photos

Sabine, yes, the fox appeared to be sick. I was quite surprised when it came towards me and it seemed to have lost some control of its back legs. If there had been anyone living at Deanie Lodge nearby I would have told them about it, but the lodge is now empty. I guess the fox was too ill to hunt and would likely starve.

Re: Strathcarron to Peterhead - photos

Poor thing. Still magnificent though.

Re: Strathcarron to Peterhead - photos

Nice pictures Kirsten !
Thanks for sharing,
Best Regards,

Marc

Re: Strathcarron to Peterhead - photos

Great pics!
Were was it you stayed in a barrel???

Re: Strathcarron to Peterhead - photos

It was a Sleeping Cask, Caburn, not a barrel! A not-yet-completed Arts project somewhere in Cabrach. I'm a little shy of disclosing its exact location as I was allowed to use it as a special favour when I was very wet and seeking shelter for the night. I would add that it was not the most comfortable night either.
