The title of this post is what was said to me by more than one person when they learnt I was to do the 2017 Challenge with legends Alan Sloman and Phil Lambert, who have 34 crossings between them. Even the coordinators and my vetter questioned my sanity. Lamb to the slaughter was a frequently used phrase.

So what was it like? I explain all, with no warts unexposed, in my blog. I spare readers a step by step account but focus instead on skullduggery and character assasination.
