Nice one Caburn. Glad you liked the dram.

Re: First run for a (completed) Challenge slide-show/blog

That would be us Caburn. Enjoying your other crossing accounts too. Now where will I start next year ?

Re: First run for a (completed) Challenge slide-show/blog

An excellent slideshow, as ever, Caburn.

Well done on your tenth.

Re: First run for a (completed) Challenge slide-show/blog

Thanks for sharing this great slide show Caburn and many congrats on your 10th. I've long fancied that backpack across Lurgh Mhor and the ridge above Loch Mullardoch but yet to get round to doing it - you've inspired me to try but it's a bold way to start a Challenge! I camped at Loch nan Eun the day after you - from the photo looks like the same pitch. What a wonderful spot - even in the rain. Hope our paths cross one day.

Re: First run for a (completed) Challenge slide-show/blog

Ah I didn't think anyone else would be silly enough to go up there! It was a good spot though - good flat pitch with a wee bit of shelter from the wind.

Re: First run for a (completed) Challenge slide-show/blog

Yes lovely - did you see the ducks? I was woken by a quack - looked out of my tent and there was a duck with seven ducklings Just about the highlight of my challenge.

Re: First run for a (completed) Challenge slide-show/blog

Thoroughly enjoyed that, thanks for sharing.

Re: First run for a (completed) Challenge slide-show/blog

Really enjoyable pictures and a great route worthy of your 10th,congratulations.

Re: First run for a (completed) Challenge slide-show/blog

Loved the pics Caburn. Congratulations on the 10th

Re: First run for a (completed) Challenge slide-show/blog

A great set of photos, Caburn. Many congratulations on your 10th crossing.

Munros I can understand - voluntarily immersing yourself in icy water, never!

Re: First run for a (completed) Challenge slide-show/blog

Ah it wasn't (quite) icy!!! Just refreshing....
You ought to try it before dismissing it out of hand....
