... is still recovering in Edinburgh - the cracked tooth and the abscess in my heel didn't get me, but the stomach bug right after finishing did. I was supposed to fly back home yesterday, but the doctor didn't allow it even today, not that I fancy travelling at least 12 hours with an upset stomach.

Thanks to everyone who cheered, encouraged and helped me through this. I met so many wonderful people and in the end all the troubles were compensated by everything fabulous and (well, not in the end, really, because then came the stomach bug..). It was indeed a challenge, but I loved it.

Thank you Russ for your encouragement when I was struggling with pain in Mar Lodge. I thought that was the lowest point on my Challenge - until the stomach bug hit in St. Cyrus! (technically the Challenge was over by then, though..). I'm so disappointed that I didn't get to meet you and everyone else on Thursday's dinner.

Hello Minna so sorry to hear of your troubles I do hope you are feeling much better now. I still have problems with my toe ulcer my GP signed me off work yesterday for 2 weeks I have to rest my foot!....which means plenty of time to study maps and plan next years route!
