If it's any consolation I only lasted three days on the Cape Wrath Trail this year. A combination of pack weight, heat, poor route and toothache all combined to see me duck out at Dornie. Yet the pack weight was the one thing I planned constantly, using a list of what I had carried last year and it was still to heavy! In truth sometime you just get things wrong and have to stop and go home.

I'm going back in July to finish off the trek.
