Hi Folks,
We are finishing our Challenge on a day across Montreathmont Moor,then Rossie Moor and on to Lunan Bay. There is a footpath marked across Rossie Moor and south to Arbikie. It is not marked as a right of way.. Does anyone know if this path exists on the ground. If so, is it passable (a lack of aggressive farmers is useful!)? Thanks,

Phil Lambert & I passed the start and end point of the path across Rossie Moor to the Gighty Burn last year. We wished we had indeed taken it as instead we walked there via Renmuir, which (eventually) went well. We did not take the path onward to Arbikie and took the pleasant minor roads to the excellent Lunan Bay cafe.

We sat atop the hill at the roadside at Fithie Wood and both remarked how pleasant Rossie Moor appeared.

Your little route problem sounded entertaining. We shall probably try the footpath. We like the sound of the cafe in Lunan. I presume you can get a bus to Montrose from somewhere on the main road. Happy days!
