Re: Resupply - Spean Bridge

Hmmmmm ... the Royal Mail website has THIS to say about post restante:

Just go to your designated Post Office branch to pick up your post.

If you’re visiting the UK from abroad, bring your passport as a form of identification.

If you live in the UK, you'll also need to show proof of your address as well as your passport.

Do they REALLY mean what they say ... i.e. people living in the UK and sending post restante to the UK must bring both their passport and proof of address to collect it??

I don't HAVE a passport ...

Re: Resupply - Spean Bridge

When I have collected items from a PO they have always accepted my photo driving licence as proof of identity. They also, sometimes, have asked for the shipping number when the item has been ordered on the internet but in your case they may ask for proof of posting, you would have to confirm this with them.

Re: Resupply - Spean Bridge

Thanks, Peter - that's very helpful!
