In 2013 I was number 69 on the list so I did the Cape Wrath Trail (dare I say it) it was a bonus. A great expedition.

Commiserations to those who did not get a place but it may be too soon to despair.

Once reality sets in due to having to cough up the entry fee some may withdraw.

I'm either doing the Cape Wrath Trail (north to south) or Cape Wrath to South Foreland, in which case I'll probably skip the prettier bits of the CWT to get south quicker. It all depends how much time I can wangle away from home!

In 2009 I got in from number 60 on the standby list. But that does not mean that 60 people from the standby list got in ... it means that a lot of people with higher numbers on the standby list drop out. I believe that two or three more got in after me, including the person who had started at number 87.
