Meeting Challengers in Unexpected Places

You do sometimes meet Challengers in the most unlikely places, don't you?

On Saturday, I was just taking my seat to play in the Bury St Edmund's Chess Congress (yes, I did win a prize ... but no, it was NOT enough for me to be able to stand everyone a drink at the Park ... ) when a lady approached me and asked "Are you the Jeremy Burrows who takes part in the TGO Challenge?"

I am sure I cannot be the only one to encounter other Challengers in unlikely situations ... so what are other people's experiences of chance meetings with other Challengers?
