Crossing the Caledonian Canal

Hello there,
Next year I hope to be one of the lucky ones out on the hills for the Challenge. In the last twenty years I have walked and camped quite regularly in the Highlands, in all seasons, and always alone. So I feel I might be up to it :-).

But... I have never crossed the Caledonian Canal, other then in the vicinity of Fort William. What possibilities exist for crossing it north of Fort Augustus? Your suggestions are much appreciated.

Greetings from Holland,
Andre Hilhorst

Well, that was fast! Thank you both for your answers: Drumnadrochit it is!

Hope to see you next year!
