Travelling to Torridon - share a taxi

Hi, I am travelling to Inverness on 12th May. I will be in Inverness at 12pm. Although I have purchased a ticket from Inverness-Strathcarron I am happy to share a taxi from Inverness. Equally, I am happy to share a taxi from Strathcarron.

If anyone is interested can you email me. I understand the cost is in the region £50 from Strathcarron which can be shared. It will be more for a minibus but it can be shared by more trekkers.

Thanks

Paul

Re: Travelling to Torridon - share a taxi

I'm a little ahead of you, but our paths will probably cross. I get to Inverness (from Montrose) at 0007 on 12 May and a friend is giving me a lift to the Torridon area arriving mid-morning (no spare seat, I'm afraid). Plan then is a loosening 'Day 0' walk outside of the Challenge area before sign out on the 13th: one of the big hill routes just north of the A896, I imagine.
With the Youth Hostel privately booked (what's up with that) I was planning on either the Torridon Campsite or camping above the town somewhere, and sauntering to the Torridon Hotel for breakfast and sign-out on Day 1. When do are think you'll be in the area - I'll buy you a drink at the Torridon Hotel perhaps. I'll be the chap in a Buffalo shirt with either scruffy Meindls or a pair of bright yellow trainers.
