Re: Four weeks.

We poor Canadians could bring some extra muck and mosquitos if needed. We are struggling with the strange Scottish measures.
Wee drams.. sounds extremely important.
Scots measure distances in about 1.4 times the normal kilometre.
Scots name hills and mountains with names like Munro and corbels and such.
Scots use smoke to make their whiskey.

But.. it is also obvious that Scots are wonderfully welcoming, helpful and enthusiastic. We are super excited to meet Scots and others on the TGOC. Sharing pints and drams will be wonderful.

Re: Four weeks.

Yes, Dara, we have lots of local terms for volumetric measurement, a dram,a wee dram, a toatie wee dram, a sensation, a wee sensation, a skelp, hauf, hauf'n'ahauf, a clachendichter, and best of all, a decent dram. The highest praise for a drink is "not too bad" or "not too bad at all".
