Maps

I've been looking for a way to cut down on maps and after lots of emailing lots of companies I've a solution that I am really pleased with... our whole route is being put on three wide but narrow folded maps, specially made to suit our route.

A company called yellow publications has gone to great lengths to create 3 of their z maps that are route specific to our route, at a scale of 1:40,000:

Her's a dropbox link too:

I just thought I'd share this as I'd imagine something like this might appeal to others?

Cheers

Pete

PS And just for the record I had never heard of Yellow Publications until I tried to research a solution!

Re: Maps

So, are these the only maps you'll be carrying?
Just curious...

Re: Maps

Yes... but I've got the whole of Scotland on my phone to 1:50,000 scale, and back up battery recharging should I need cover/in a problem.

Re: Maps

Interesting. Might I ask how much for the custom maps Peter ?

Re: Maps

They are £30 for all three which I thought was very good

Re: Maps

Sound very similar to the Harvey's maps at a scale of 1:40000?
Do you know what weight they are?
The Harvey's version of the South Downs way on polyethylene, ie waterproof, comes in at 60g.
An OS land ranger 1:50000 without card cover weighs 77g.
