Glen Feshie - storm damage

We've taken another wander up Glen Feshie to just beyond the old landslips and can report that although the path has been wash away in two places it is relatively easy to bypass both.
As we reported in the Newletter the Allt Garbhaich has washed out the new path at NN 849 953 but it is possible to find a way down through the new trees by heading a little way upstream and a faint path is beginning to form. The burn might need care in spate but should be passable with care. It wasn't bridged in the past.
The rough old path along the forest edge has largely been consumed by the river but the new one which goes through the trees is fine until NN 849 940 where about 100m is now missing. This can be bypassed by climbing a little way up the wooded bank which is easy underfoot although there is a rather steep drop to the water unless you want to climb higher up the hillside.
The old landslips which are about 1 km beyond the bothy have stabilized over recent years and the path was largely unaffected. There is a bit of debris and minor damage in places but nothing that will slow your progress.

Re: Glen Feshie - storm damage

Thanks for the update - that's our FWA, although hopefully we won't need it.
