Braemar and Lochcallerter Lodge

Hello All

My only crossing was in 2010 when the Braemar and Lochallerter Lodge was a "must do" couple of nights. I'm in the processing of route planning this weekend and seem to have set myself a challenging first week and will be looking forward to some drinking and laughing over the middle weekend.

I understand that the Fife arms has/was closed for a couple of years. Is there still a gathering of Challengers on the Saturday night in Braemar and a staggering of Challengers to Lochallerter Lodge the next day?

I've got a couple of long days to get there on the Saturday night, if there's not much going on then I may plan an alternative route further south. Thanks very much for your input.

Re: Braemar and Lochcallerter Lodge

I know a few folk are at Callater on the 2nd Sunday night John. I am sure you will find a warm welcome.

Re: Braemar and Lochcallerter Lodge

I'm there .
Mind you, I'm walking with martin.
Most of the crew will be in.

Braemar on the other hand since the Fife is still shut, may not be so Buoyant.
Although, the pub round the corner by the Lodge is open, as is the Moorefield

Last year Ballater was big, BUT.. they have been screwed by the flooding.

Hopefully much sorted by May, but there was a lot of devastation
