Crossing the Dee - again

Hi,

I've read lots of topics on here about this and the problem of quite long detours if coming from the north - for instance on a detour as an FWA for the Fords of Avon. On the 2016 maps I have, and looking at 2016 satellite snaps of the area - there appears to be 'something' crossing the river at Inverchandlick cottage NO 150925 - I assume this is not a bridge - but can anyone tell me just what it is?

Re: Crossing the Dee - again

It's just a fence-cum-weedtrap strung across the river. The pic below was taken by Dave Spicer for Geograph in 2010, so it may not even be there now for you to hang on to!

Re: Crossing the Dee - again

Thanks Phil - I thought that might be the case. Dammit.

Found this from 2015...

May or may not be there after the deluge. Given the warm balmy weather we always get in May it may be worth a punt if its not in spate Well its that or an extra 9K via Invercauld or further via Victoria bridge.
