Snow

With one and a half weeks at least to go, I'm not certain how useful snow observations are at this time, but viewed from the bus on Thursday much of the Lochaber hills, including the Ben, Aonachs and Mamores where completely plastered down to relatively low levels as was just about everything down towards Loch Treig. Yesterday looking from the superb Pass of the Fair Haired Lad on the south side of Loch Ness all of the higher bits of the Monadliath were completely white and much towards the NW towards the Glen Affric area. On a N bound trip over the Corrieyairack on 22/4 there were extensive areas of refrozen deep snow at and above the zig zags. From the summit of Bennachie on Wednesday I could see extensive snow still lying on the eastern side of Ben Avon but the Angus hills appeared to be only patchy.

think we should all expect a bit of snow at least.
