Re: Your perfect 4 day Scottish route?

Thanks Andrew. Appreciated your suggestions of Fisherfield & Arran on Twitter, both places I haven't spent much time in. Also liked Robin's twitter suggestion of a mini TGO between Strathcarron & Beauly. Decisions!

Re: Your perfect 4 day Scottish route?

Personally I would go outside of the Challenge boundaries

Re: Your perfect 4 day Scottish route?

Yeah that makes sense - risks limiting future challenge routes & a chance to explore new areas. Had some good suggestions by email for areas I'm not as familiar with so looking forward to looking further into those too. Bl**dy love Scotland. Now if only those pesky wind farms would disappear.....

Re: Your perfect 4 day Scottish route?

There are some excellent 3/4 day backpacking routes in the Beinn Dearg area to the east of Ullapool, starting for example at Inverlael, that wouldn't impinge on any Challenge route and may escape the worst of both the weather and the wind turbines.
