Re: sleeper tickets

Thanks Dickie. I look forward to meeting you both. I'm joining at Crewe, so don't let them close the bar til I'm onboard!

Re: sleeper tickets

Well done Jeff I too have booked a berth on said train. Bree Louise obviously means something? We could in theory jiggle it so that challengers were 'together' on the train. I am M 09L

Consider it jiggled. We (that is me, Alan, Andrew & Richard) are next door to you Mick - coach M 08U, 07L, 06U, 05L.

Re: sleeper tickets

So good of the rail company to allocate the lower bunks to the more decrepit specimens.

Re: sleeper tickets

"So good of the rail company to allocate the lower bunks to the more decrepit specimens." Scotrail probably realised they would not be carrying ice axe & crampons and such a steep slippery ascent could lead to a nasty accident. Rappelling off in the morning without a rope could be dodgy too!

Re: sleeper tickets

I don't think it's a question of getting out of an upper bank in the morning.........

It's more of a problem of trying to get into an upper bunk after a few hours in the lounge car !!!!

Re: sleeper tickets

Sounds good to me, feel the excitement grow.
Not sure who that Donohoe is but he'll get the sharp edge of my tongue, cheeky blighter.

Jesus Christ Man.

If you get there at 6.30 I will need to bring industrial strength nicorettes to get you to Euston.

Ah yes. The nicorettes - defibrillator pills for the comatose Challenger.

It's the 9:15pm sleeper, Andrew (not the midnight train) which means we leave the Bree at 8:30 in order to get seats in the buffet carriage.

Re: sleeper tickets

Croydon-derived from crocus so a lovely name for a girl. Apparently her Old Man was a recycling operative with somewhat regressive attitudes to customer service and a history of unprovoked violence.

Re: sleeper tickets

This bud of love, by summer's ripening breath,
May prove a beauteous flower when next we meet

Re: sleeper tickets

Not if I see you first!

Re: sleeper tickets

I'm for Inverness on Wednesday night, too.

Still need the onward ticket to Kyle of Lochalsh, though ...

Are you sure Serco will allow mixed-class socialising? Or will they enforce strict class segregation?

Re: sleeper tickets

I'm sure Alan will deign to talk to you.
