Being as Mar Lodge won't be available for accomodation, does anybody know a good place for a wild camp at Inverey?
I see the red triangle hostel sign marked on the map at GR079896. Is this Muir Cottage and if so does anybody know if we could have use of it?
I'm told the SYHA at Inverey further along the road closed some years ago. Is it run by another organisation now who would open up to us maybe?

Plenty camping about Mar Lodge and Invery. However I am looking at other possibilities nearer Braemar and will confirm these spots once home in two weeks.

Muir of Inverey Cottage at grid ref NO 076896 is a club hut of The Cairngorm Club and can be booked by individuals or club members affiliated to The Mountaineering Councils of Scotland and Ireland, and the British Mountaineering Council. It is extremely popular, especially at weekends and reservations need to made well in advance.
