The steady stream of routes has slowed to a trickle. We imagine some people are a little preoccupied with another event beginning with C . . .

However there are over 60 routes that are due to be submitted by 17th January This deadline applies to those who have completed 5 or more crossings. If all of those arrive after the festive season we are going to have quite a log jam in the vetting system.

So if you can give your route some thought between the rounds of Christmas shopping and mince pie eating it would be much appreciated. At the moment we have keen vetters poised with sharpened pencils but no routes to vet.

I e-mailed mine a while back, but have heard nothing yet.

Has it (or the vetters' comments) gone astray, by any chance??

Not all the vetters are waiting for routes - some are still beavering away. So have no fear Jeremy you route is in the system and you will get some vetting comments in due course. We do advise it may take up to 3 weeks for a route to be vetted and comments returned.

It wasn' tmeant as a criticism - I just read "we're running out of routes to vet" and naturally wondered whether mine had been safely received, or gone astray.
