Not really a victory, I suspect. Wind farm companies in the central belt now submit plans for a big development; these are rejected; they then submit plans for one or two turbines; these plans are approved and the turbines are built; then additional turbines are added to the site one or two at a time. The countryside within a few miles of the perimeter of the biggest windfarm in Europe is currently a construction site for these white elephants. I resent paying a higher price for electricity when the overall effect on the environment is detrimental and the money goes to the people fortunate enough to own land with a hill on it - have you heard what the windfarm developers are offering them?!?!?
