Photos - Kilchoan to Stonehaven

Yet another set of pictures.

A short picture summary of my crossing from Kilchoan to Stonehaven can be found here.

Sorry, I don't do write-ups / trip reports. (The closest I get is trying to add captions of where the picture was actually taken - and even that's a 'first' for me).

Bernie

PS. I'll buy a dram (on next years crossing) for the first person that can identify the 'wee bird' - I've no idea what it is .

Re: Photos - Kilchoan to Stonehaven

Ooo, free whisky! It's a chaffinch, I reckon (see here).

I seemed to see nothing but lapwings on my crossing, they even forced me further down a glen to camp one night, dive bombing me to protect their nests I think.

Re: Photos - Kilchoan to Stonehaven

Of course, it could also be a BULLFINCH...

Great set of photo Bernie

Re: Photos - Kilchoan to Stonehaven

Thanks for putting those up. Some excellent shots

Re: Photos - Kilchoan to Stonehaven

Chaffinch has a grey head, bullfinch a black head...
