I use the holster and plate from a Spider pro system clamped to the waistbelt of the rucksack.

Over that I drape a large silnylon drybag. I make a small hole in the drybag and screw the baseplate through that.

Are you, as a super light-weighter coming over to the dark side?

Actually, I might be LW, but definitely not Super LW.

Just looking for ways to carry a Fuji X-T1. I like your approach of having the camera available rather than stashed all the time. Not sure that holster would work with my pack though. Might try a Blackrapid strap under/over the pack harness, but will definitely steal your drybag idea...
