Cairngorms update

Glorious Easter weekend here: Aviemore was the warmest place in Britain on Sunday - however, the Cairngorm plateau is still in winter condition. Someone managed to ski all the 4000footers the other day.

No Gockoo yet, though midges and ticks are very busy.
Have a good one, everybody.

Re: Cairngorms update

Thanks, Val

There's still three weeks of thawing to do before we hit the Cairngorms, but it sounds like the plateaux will still be plastered.

Midges & ticks, eh?

Wonderful!
See you soon, Miss!

Re: Cairngorms update

Yes, a few midges and 3 ticks in the Rannoch Moor area late last week. Well nibbled!

Re: Cairngorms update

Gockoo at Glenfinnan over the weekend.
And various reptiles.

Didn't come across any snow but plenty on the Mamores.
