200th route approved today – feels like a landmark so I thought I'd share!

Many thanks to all the vetters for their hard work thus far - that aspect of the year's chores is almost over and, judging by all the messages that arrive in t'office, their advice has been very much appreciated and even acted upon occasionally!

Which means this stage of the process is almost – almost – complete. Just one route to come in still, from the last fortunate soul to gain a place from the Standby List, and I'm aware that it's almost ready. One submitted route still to be vetted, and that is also almost complete.

Note that I'm still awaiting around 16 revisions – if you're one of those, please let me have your route as soon as you're able to I can release the vetters into their natural habitat and shares in Britain's brewery trade can enjoy a wee recovery.

To come next month: Final Details, which will include event numbers, phone/text numbers for Control, details of sign-out points, temporary SYHA cards for all – which will include space for event numbers and the phone/text numbers for Control so no-one can claim they've forgotten 'em – and much more. At least that's the plan…

Is it correct that Challengers who have had their route vetted, asked to submit revisions and don't will not be accepted on the Challenge; i.e. excluded from the start list?

Sounds like a Plan...

I always assumed that this was the natural corollary of the whole vetting system.

If this outcome doesn't follow in these circumstances, what are we all doing it for???
