Re: Getting to the Shiel Bridge Signout Point from Cluanie Inn

I'd stick with the bus. One hour amd 52 minutes is absolutely nothing to worry about. People will be starting later, even on the Sunday. You'll still catch up and overtake those of us starting as early as possible, so don't fret!

Re: Getting to the Shiel Bridge Signout Point from Cluanie Inn

I would ask in the hotel the night before to see if anyone is heading that way in the morning. In my experience, people in the middle of nowhere are pretty generous.

Then, if no one's going that way, there's the option of a cab or the bus.

Hi Louise and Alan,

Thanks both for the suggestions. I know I will get there some way, some how, but sooner is definitely the better!

Hope to see you on the trail

Cheers,

Re: Getting to the Shiel Bridge Signout Point from Cluanie Inn

Hi, I stayed at the Cluanie last year. Andy the good chap who is mine host supports walkers with his own transport. I'm not sure what the "rules" are, simply because I didn't use the service but it would be worthwhile asking him if there was any chance of a lift. They seemed very helpful whilst we were there.
