State of the Nation with three days to go for routes

Only three days to go until the deadline for route submissions folks… and still around 19 routes to be received. Oooh, it's getting exciting. A couple of folks have requested extensions which have been agreed… but a whole lot more haven't and we can't agree an extension unless we're asked, and won't be able to agree them after the deadline has passed as those places will have been given to Standby Listers… Get in touch NOW if you're struggling…

Routes received: 191 (88%)
Routes to be assigned to vetters: 0
Bumped for pre-vet revision: 2
Being vetted: 18
Awaiting approval of revision: 0
Returned for post-vet revision: 13
"Good to go": 158 (73%)

Withdrawn post-vetting: 2.5

Remaining on the Standby List (closes midnight March 15): 24

A wee note about numerical anomalies: the percentages are worked out according to the original number of routes due in, which was 216. Now that a number of folk have joined from the SB list (with most of the Hanwag winners yet to come) that is, of course, slightly distorted – by close of play we should have received (and hopefully approved!) up to 110% of the expected number of routes.

As john Davidson has correctly and helpfully pointed out in another thread, we're not expecting 300 routes (or even 320, which was the front-loaded figure) as pairs, trios and foursomes only have to submit one route between them. Some individuals and pairs have also teamed up since the participants list was drawn up, so there's further distortion.

As everyone knows, 73% of statistics are made up anyway, but these statistics are at least statistically statistical. Having failed O-level maths the first time around, we in't doing too bad.

Re: State of the Nation with three days to go for routes

Sadly another withdrawal already since I posted that update.

… which gave me opportunity for more statistic crunching. Of the 21 folk who've joined us since the October draw, 17 have already submitted – and had vetted – their routes. We'll forgive the other four as they were only offered places recently – two on Feb 10, two today…
