State of the Nation Feb 07

Routes have really slowed up now folks… still approx 41 routes to be received by midnight on February 15, which is only 8 days away. Many of those haven't been heard from since the October draw… hmm…

Routes received: 175 (81%)
Routes to be assigned to vetters: 2
Bumped for pre-vet revision: 2
Being vetted: 9
Awaiting approval of revision: 1
Returned for post-vet revision: 14
"Good to go": 146 (68%)

Withdrawn post-vetting: 1

Remaining on the Standby List (closes midnight March 15): 26

Re: State of the Nation Feb 07

Happy days for the standby list people if the others don't get those routes in on time. Feel free to email me if your numbers are down

Re: State of the Nation Feb 07

I have a pair of friends/neighbours who didn't win places in the Hanwag competition. If the entire Standby List gets in before it closes, how about offering places to those who entered this competition and weren't lucky?? Or would that just be too complicated?

Re: State of the Nation Feb 07

Wouldn't really be a competition then though would it? Just another Standby List for the Standby List!!!

Re: State of the Nation Feb 07

Please clarify your numbers John as they don't appear to add up to the 300 limit of places. Although I haven't applied this year, I will be next year and am interested in the application levels.
If you've received 175 routes for vetting and are waiting for 41 more, this only adds up to 216. What about the other 84 if indeed the limit was 300 this year?
With regards,
Simon.

Re: State of the Nation Feb 07

Not all entrants are solo walkers and teams consisting of two; three and the maximum permitted number of four only require one route. It follows on from that that number of routes to vet will be less than number of entrants.

Re: State of the Nation Feb 07

Ah yes, many thanks for the clarification!
