Contours

I've finally filled in my route map, hopefully accurately but if not any advice on how to go about this manually (bit of a technophobe as my wife will attest from the screaming fits when I can't make head nor tail of something).

Re: Contours

The way I do it is using 'Where's the path', with one half of the screen set to OS map and the other to Terrain. That way it's much easier (I find at least) to quickly visualise the lay of the land. Otherwise after day 4 my brain starts to ache. On a steady climb with no descent you can 'leapfrog' using the 50m contours, but even with a route that's up and down all the time I find it easier without having to concentrate on visualising the lay of the land constantly.
