Anyone needing to replace a rain jacket? Rohan have a further 20% off sale items - including the Elite rain jacket, which I recommend highly after last years Challenge. Waterproof, light (330g), and good breathability. Indeed, it even displaced the Montane Litespeed wind shell much of the time!

I can highly recommend this. Rohan isn't a brand that many associate with 'true' roughty toughty our doors stuff but I had one with me for the last two challenges when I seem to remember it was pretty wet. It never let me down and was nice and light to boot with a good hood.

I accidently bought one in Worcester on Saturday for £125 and managed to try it out one hour later in a storm it does what it says on the tin but I was thinking its maybe too light and not robust enough for backpacking with 10kg whats the verdict?
