Route from Oban

Has anybody walked NE of Oban, I have planed my route but one area I am unsure about, its from Stob Gaibhre to Grianan it passes the River Ure goes straight across is it passable (without getting too wet I hope) grateful for any help.

It pains me to inform you that you'll have no difficulty in crossing the River Ure. Several years back, the old path was "developed" to become one of the most disgraceful new tracks in the wilds, bulldozed and even blasted in places. It now stretches up to the lochans and the river is bridged. Admittedly, it's now been tidied up and the initial damage is healing but I still find it an unacceptable intrusion.

I presume that you're coming down from Beinn Sgulaird. The ridge dropping down from Sgor Gaibhre is fairly straightforward but quite heathery in places.

Hope that helps
