My dad's first TGO

Please comment on my dad's blog about his first TGO challenge at www.oldage-traveller.co.uk he'd love to hear from you, especially any other Old Age Travellers out there!

Dad is walking to raise money for Help for Heroes and the RNIB so you can find links to his Justgiving.com pages there too. If you want any help with a website of your own or fundraising pages please just ask.

xxLaura

Re: My dad's first TGO

Well done that man - and well done Laura for encouraging your Dad to go for the Challenge! You did encourage him.....didn't you?

I tried to leave a comment on his blog but I can't - not without logging in.

Anyroadup Laura's Dad, welcome to the Challenge!

Re: My dad's first TGO

I think you should find a new name for Dad's blog. In Challenge terms 68 is definitely middle-aged.

Re: My dad's first TGO

Definitely, 68 is not old at all on the TGOC.

He should be jogging across!

OK, that may be frowned on.

A gentle stroll and just absorb all the wonders of the scenery and the company.

Oh, and take care in the Fleshpots of Braemar!

Re: My dad's first TGO

Hi Andrew , All your answers are " A" OK and no worries. I passed the "70" mark just, I will be back asap , not jogging because there is too much to enjoy . good luck next May . ps you did not respond to Rob. Ridgwells escapades in the bothy out of Braemar. I need to remember for sake of someone, who's special whisky that i upset ( ie. Ian ).No worries if you do not recall but it was the night of the possible stove explosion 2012 .

Re: My dad's first TGO

I think everyone's getting confused here.

Reading Martin's blog, he's going to be 56 at the time of the Challenge next year. It's Mr Grumpy who's 68.

Mind you, I'm always easily confused when I read Bill's posts on here...

(No offence intended to my Scouser chum)

I didn't read that far as usual.

So in that case he is younger than the average.
So he should be skipping across!

Mind you that is probably frowned on too.
Although I did skip along the road from Edzell to NWB before now.
Maybe not all the way.

Unfortunately my left knee is 146.
Maybe it was the skipping!

Re: My dad's first TGO

Thanks Laura , will try to put forward your Dad's enjoyment of the T.G.O. Bill H.

Re: My dad's first TGO

Just seen your Dad's web page & have been pleased to make the first donation on the Justgiving site. Two very worthwhile causes. Hope to see the pair of you next May.
