Re: Wild Camp Loch Ossian / Corrour Station

Thanks for the very helpful suggestions. Much appreciated!
Sorted out now

Re: Wild Camp Loch Ossian / Corrour Station

I found Ossian quite hostile a few years ago. The weather was dreadful and Ossian has the only dry glad forums around.

As has been suggested you can camp near the train line - lots of gorgeous pitches. Alternatively keep walking Dow. The S side of Ossian and in the woods you will find some good pitches with plenty of shelter on the edge of the loch. Depends how long a day you have had!

What's a 'Glad Forum'

What's a 'Glad Forum'

ground?

You get to understand Andy's way with words after a while.

Re: Wild Camp Loch Ossian / Corrour Station

I suspect the autocomplete on Andy's iPad is to blame

Re: Wild Camp Loch Ossian / Corrour Station

Have you seen the size of Andy's fingers?
He has Farmer's Hands - fingers the size of ruddy great bananas! Handling all those straw bales and binder-twine in deepest rural Birmingham.

I'm surprised he can type on any keyboard.

Re: Wild Camp Loch Ossian / Corrour Station

Andy is ahead of his time. He's one of the first to use the new pan-European language, a combination of several languages.
'Glad' is Dutch for a smooth surface and 'forum' is Latin for a square so a 'glad forum' is ideal for pitching your tent

Re: Wild Camp Loch Ossian / Corrour Station

That's brilliant

Re: Wild Camp Loch Ossian / Corrour Station

A neat theory from Theo, but ... have you seen Andy's new laptop?

Re: Wild Camp Loch Ossian / Corrour Station

Apple (wood)?

Re: Wild Camp Loch Ossian / Corrour Station

That's far too modern for me!

Re: Wild Camp Loch Ossian / Corrour Station

Err, dry ground! I do indeed blame the iPad!
