I crossed about 300 - 400m West of the loch outlet with no problems.
Another route; after crossing the Allt Loch Calvie head SE and go over the bump of Cnoc a'Mhoraire then cross the Allt an Loin-fhiodha East of the bothy, it can be a little boggy

By the way AL, I was overweight back then too....

I plan to be nipping across that way from Lurg Mhor, so look up to the left on your way and if you see something moving on the hill it might be me!

After following the story from Mr Sloman and Walker I think a bit of company on that crossing may be a nice thing.
