Scottish Hill Tracks (the ugly bulldozered roads, not the book!)

Anyone concerned about unsightly bulldozered tracks in the Highlands might want to read this:

http://www.mcofs.org.uk/news.asp?s=2&id=MCS-N11250&nc=Access%20and%20Conservation

They're looking for photographs to show how they can scar the landscape and need them by 1st September. Haven't tended to take many photos of ugly tracks myself unfortunately.

Cheers,

Thanks for this. I think I have a few from my 2012 TGOC so will dig them out.

Isn't digging them out part of the problem?

Re: Scottish Hill Tracks (the ugly bulldozered roads, not the book!)

I might have some of the ludicrous number in Angus. Will send in if I find some.
Unfortunately, it is not the sort of thing you want to photograph.

Re: Scottish Hill Tracks (the ugly bulldozered roads, not the book!)

There's a request for more photographs as evidence if the blight these tracks cause - see news article on JMT website here, where there is also a link to a website where you can upload photos or email them in.

Cheers,
