Stranded

It has been fascinating watching the hour by hour progress of the crossers on both on this site and the Social Hiking site as well as folllowing heroic posters such as Martin B.
As a 2 times crosser it has made me further realise how complex the topography is. You could spend an entire productive lifetime getting to be familiar with all the complexities of every piece of this enchanted land.
Today at 61 yrs I was told my job will cease in July - It could be a blessing.
I now have the opportunity to move to the wilds and to spend the next 40 yrs studying the complexity of this dreamscape.
I am willing the aberrant southward hoop in the jetstream will join up north of Scotland to give challengers a warm second week.
I share your feelings Louise and Dawn - but I think you both made the right decision.
Freddy
