MWIS forecast warns of severe conditions in the west with severe upland gales, heavy snow, lightning and whiteout.

Challenger Julie reports sunshine on Loch Ness however (at the mo'…). "Sudden gusts, particularly near showers to 70mph, particularly north from about Glencoe."
