Re: Cairngorm snow report.

Marvelous down here too.

Anyway, we don't hit the gorms until the week after next.

There is always you low level alternative if it is too wild.

Re: Cairngorm snow report.

Val, this is just great, and much appreciated! Mary is driving back from InverBubbly late Tuesday and will bring a report on the Challenge area bounded by the A9 (Inverness > Blair Atholl) which I'll share on the board on Wednesday. We've had fresh falls on The Cheviot today − but frankly this is all pretty normal for the time of year.

Re: Cairngorm snow report.

Just to let you know, I'm just back from a walk and kit jeck in Glencoe, No snow but plenty of rain with streams that are now raging rivers, that goes for the whole of Argyll. The only snow I saw was on the tops of the Munro's.
WET SUITS FOR THE FIRST WEEK!

Not long now, Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock!

Re: Cairngorm snow report.

Thank you Val and everyone else.

But it's going to be glorious sunshine by Friday isn't it??

(What was that song about a cock-eyed optimist?)

Re: Cairngorm snow report.

Today's Herald newspaper has a recent picture on page 17 showing the Lairig Ghru - might be useful for those whose route goes that way.
